About the All Gauge Model Railway Club
The All Gauge Model Railway Club was founded before 1980 and became an
Incorporated Association in 1991.
The AGMRC is a group of ordinary people who like to get together to chat about trains and to run their trains on
the club's layouts, which are generally much bigger than most people can own or afford the space for.
Visitors and potential new members are always welcome to attend our running nights on the first, second and fourth Fridays
of the month starting at 7:00 pm, except when various special events are held. See our full calendar on the website.
There are two large, permanent layouts upstairs featuring city and country stations with tracks running through the countryside
and winding through cuttings and tunnels, over bridges past a refinery, sugar-cane farms, processing mill etc. These
layouts are in HO / OO scale (sub-divided into several
sections), and a large N scale layout,
The club also has 4 portable layouts, including a “Thomas” setup and the international N scale T-TRACK modular
concept. A mix of these four is used when members
participate in model railway shows and visit schools and shopping
centres.
The downstairs kitchen ensures there is a cuppa or cold drink available while discussing trains, watching a DVD or pouring over
the extensive library of books and magazines.
Of course there are always members who are keen to provide helpful tips and advice.
